Band of the Week: ACTORS

This week’s featured band is also our guest on our new podcast episode launching today!

ACTORS is a Vancouver based outfit comprised of:

Jason Corbett - Vocals/Guitar

Shannon Hemmett - Synth/vocals

Kendall Wooding - Bass Vocals

Adam Fink - Drums

The band released their first album in 2018, It Will Come To You, featuring darkwave-inspired, rhythmically driven songs like “L’appel Du Vide,” and “Slaves” and lighter still rhythmically-focused dance tracks like “We Don’t Have to Dance.”

ACTORS followed that release with 2021’s, Acts Of Worship, which maintained their dakwave/new wave sound but included more dance-focused compositions like “Love U More,” “Only Lonely.” The album does maintain some of the band’s darker sound with songs like the edgier, whispered lyric song “Cold Eyes.”

Their most recent release is, Reanimated, a remastered version of ACTORS’ debut EP as well as the remixes of their first song “Post-Traumatic Love.”

The band will be on tour for some dates in North America and Europe in the spring and summer this year. Check out their tour info here.
