Band of the Week + New Music Alert: Cold

Alternative rock band, Cold, will be releasing its first album in 8 years on September 13, 2019.

Following a 2 year break from Cold, lead singer, Scooter Ward, turned to old friend, Nick Coyle to discuss working together on the project. Ward established a friendship with Coyle while the two were touring together in 2001 as Nick fronted the band Lifer. With the addition of Lindsay Manfredi on bass and Aaron Fulton on drums, recording began in Phoenix, AZ. Ultimately, the album would go on to be recorded in multiple locations with Coyle and Ward completing production in their respective home studios.

The band released its first single, “Shine,” accompanied by a lyric video in June.

This week saw the release of another new single “Without You,” which provides a welcome return to the band’s original sound of the early 2000’s with some updated elements delicately mixed in.

Cold will be embarking on a tour of the US in August of this year. Tour dates can be found at coldarmy.com.
